Tomorrow’s post today

The last lonely freesia hid above the small pond, amongst bright blazing orange ixias. There were just 2 bulbs there, and they struggled to be seen ,with their pale peaches and cream delicate tones. The solution was so obvious, bring them inside and display all by themselves, no competition, how could they not win.Waiting in the wings, so to speak, was this one bud, darker at the tip,but delicate lemon by the stem. It deserved to be wrapped in organza ribbon and placed just so. It will bloom in a day or two.

The fabrics are not my usual blues and greens,
but I can see after looking at this one freesia,
that the pale tones have their rightful place
 in the fabric listings.

More applique projects are calling, and are just on the list of “TO DO LATER”, I love the brightness of the butterfly, but the softer colours in the vase and flowers  have equal appeal.
Also on a list of to do things is to make a design wall, a free standing one, much more reasonable than the price to purchase one ready to assemble, from USA. A very helpful plumber, men in Wellington who referred me to other friends of theirs, and the plan is on the drawing board.
I am  off to do photography tomorrow, Hugh has a planned day out, so tomorrow’s post is here today. Some remote place, probably no cell phone cover, thank goodness for a GPS, a PLB,( in case of a dire emergency) a gas stove and a packed lunch.Camera charged, cell phone ditto, but probably will just be there for when we get back to civilisation.
The interpretation of “ a man that rides on the white horse” is given as
(—For white headed old age). WOW, I am in that category well and truly…

Quotation for today  from  D Fergusson, Scottish Proverbs,

The day has eyes and the night has ears.

Cheers from Jean
