Shadows and Leaky Gumboots

Morning shadow from the English Elm Tree.
Morning shadows
Afternoon shadows, as I left all the outside work until tomorrow. Gumboots started to leak, a very small amount of perishing on each outside ankle area. No wonder my feet were so cold, as I stood in the pond and placed stones at strategic places, on the liner.Progress is going well, far better than the spring cleaning.Photos to come when finished.
Afternoon shadows
Hoop petticoat daffodils, these flower more each year, a gift  from a friend when we both lived near Katikati. The leaf is an  Alchemilla Mollis, (also a gift from a friend who now lives in Palmerston North,)  or Lady’s Mantle. We had a brief shower, in the very early morning, and the raindrops lingered.

Quotation of the day from  Thomas A Edison
“Opportunity is missed by most people
because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work”

wonderful photo of the tree shadow,
Looks like you are in the market for new gumboots - red band?

Not sure Leanne, these were Redband, but many, many ,years old. Hoping we have enought flyby points so I can get some Muckboots, super warm, shaped at the calf, and they make ladies small sizes!!! So glad the teaching is going well, Cheers, Jean

This was the year for my boots to bite the dust too. I should have replaced them on my trip to the states where they have sizes to fit monster calves. I was too afraid I had used up my weight quota in books.

Great photo of the elm tree shadow.

Sorry your old gum boots are no longer serviceable. It's awful to have cold and wet feet.

Julie, Are they so expensive in Japan, or not available there ? Good to know you are OK in Google now. Lorraine, I hope to get some moon shadows tonight, with full moon almost here.We have had frosty mornings this week, snow falling near Waiouru, and clear skies ,just right for early photos.Cheers from Jean.

I like the shadow picture. The leaf-less trees are a picture of what is still to come for us.

Are gum boots and muck boots what I call rubber boots? Whatever they are get yourself a new pair so you are dry in the cold water!!

Is all that lawn at your house? It is beautiful!
