More Chores and family visits

Life is getting a little easier, pain a little less, sleep still deprived!!! and grass is growing like it always does in the spring. Rain, thunder and lightning last night. The family from Rotorua came to visit, the three guys went off, us three girls did our own shopping, a lovely lunch, and some work around here. All hands on deck to load the trailer with firewood, I was spoilt, Josh did the quad driving, and reversing!!! Many, many thanks, all.

Please do not worry if my comments or words are few, we are OK, Hugh is gradually getting better, slow and steady, and still with crutches most of the day.Pain is less, and food is again important!!! That in itself tells me he is much better!!!

From a UK friend in the Ugly Hedgehog Forum, some pics, Thanks Graham.

I loved that last pic of the cartoon. It was priceless. I'm so glad you all are doing better. I've had a few health issues the last two weeks and only found out today the diagnosis. There's comfort in knowing. Get better both of you! Carol

Good to hear you are seeing improvement and that you got some help hauling firewood. The "girls' time" must have been encouraging too.

Jean, I had to come back and look at this post again because it is so cute! I love the photos and quotes. In the last photo with the pigeons, it reminds me of a video that I put on my blog quite a while back. It is about the friendship of a goose and a man that met daily at a park.

So glad you got some help to get the firewood. We are now trying to have 2 winters of wood on hand as our house has no other source of heat, but wood. All it would take is one little accident or set back and we would be paying thousands to install some other heat as well as the cost of running it. I really would love to have 3 or years worth. But hubby already is having back problems now as well and when we do go out for firewood it is only for a few hours at a time. Better some then none. So glad to hear things are looking better. Those birds sure would brighten someones day.

Hi Carrie, ta so much for all your lovely words, on the other posts as well... we like to have one good year's wood ahead, and are now thinking of which trees we will get felled for next year's fires, it is hard work, so we now pay to get them cut down and cut into rounds, then with the log splitter ( petrol drive) so much easier than the days long ago when we did it ,well Hugh did, with an axe!!!Love your RV. Greetings, Jean.

Jean, I am so happy that you are both on the mend. It can be frustrating I know, waiting for it all to be back to normal. It will be soon.
Great that you got all that help with the wood pile! Phew!
I loved this series of photos/quotes....especially the last one, sweet!
Have a wonderful day Jean.

Jim, both of us almost fit and well!!! That last cartoon, could be almost true, as our cats, dogs, and more all know when we are not the 100% they usually see. Fond greetings, Jean,
