New Year, New Arrival at Our Place

For some weeks now, a cat has been coming in, eating Felicity’s food, running out again, usually about 10.30 p.m.

The food bowl has been moved to our bedroom, and he wakes us up with the crunch and munch of the biscuits. Broken sleep!!!

Lately he has ventured out in the daytime. No-one owns him,all enquiries get no answers, is he going to be the new member of our family?

Hugh has named him “ Max”, he is ginger and white and has the bushiest tail ever.

Max #1

Max #2

He is still very timid, but he and Felicity  have had a tête-à-tête,   no growls, no  hissing , not even a paw lifted to challenge. This is the first time I have seen him in the daylight and managed to get close enough for a photo.

Quotation of the day  from Odin Wilde

“ Keep your chin up, but not so high

that you  can’t see what’s ahead of you”

Greetings from Jean

Thank you all, for encouraging words. He is still very timid, but I think last night, at least from 1.30 a.m. to 5.15 a.m. he stayed inside all that time... not sure, but the visits to the snack bar that is so conveniently located, we know when he is there by the crunching, not quite enough time to wander too far, although cats can travel some huge distances. I'll wait and see what tonight brings forth. Meantime, I'll keep my chin up, just a little, in hope. Greetings, Jean.

Hi all, the usual nocturnal visit, about 2.25 a.m. this morning, I too, hope he stays, but this might take some time, But,I wonder, he is so well brushed, at least it looks that way, does he have another real home??? The words of this song keep going through my head" Should I stay or should I go?" Wonder what Max thinks as he cruises in each night? Greetings to all, Jean.

Obviously, if Hugh has named him, you're hooked!

They do say that a cat chooses you, not the other way round. and Barb, where did that name came from?? No idea at all, but I might be in for the long haul. Greetings to all, Jean.

Oh watch out for you baby birdies hope he doesn't get them. He is a beauty though. Well we are getting more snow and that means time to hit the road while we can get out. I am so tired from packing and cleaning and trying to get everything done on the interne I can as I won't have it down south for 3 months. Just visits to the library to get E-mails and a few other updates. But it will give me time to go through all my photos and pick more for cards and other creations. At least now after seeing response from my Facebook page I know what people like and will trying and focus there. So wishing you a wonderful rest of the season and take care. Hugs Carrie
