Air Canada #2

Air Canada

My travel is a dream, and the reality is that I probably will not be able to  come and visit, but a dream is so worthwhile to have and hold.

A flight from NZ to Vancouver would go  from Auckland, via Sydney, Australia, and travel time a total of about 22 hours. In NZ Dollars, from $2000, upwards, depending on the class of comfort chosen.

Onto more mundane things, we have hot days, about 27Celsius, overnight cooler, the grass is drying off, cracks in the ground, farmers are so worried, water shortages might be happening, so far we can  use unlimited water  for the lawns and gardens.

The NZMTB races are at Wanaka this weekend, the Downhill was yesterday, the Cross Country at Snow Park, Wanaka,  today.  Go well today, Josh, wish  we there there to watch.

Photo below, courtesy of Internet, one small part of the track for today!!! I hear the uphill parts are so steep, gear changes have been made!!!

Thank you all so much for Hugh’s birthday wishes, we had a day out, lunch at a lovely cafe, and he will probably spend all that cash on Tuesday!!! Maybe the best part is thinking of the choices.

I also would love to travel. Unfortunately, the funds will probably keep me from it. That's why I enjoy blogging, it takes me to places like where you live that I'll never get to visit.

Take care, stay cool--We're trying to stay warm! :-)

Used to love watching the land and clouds from the window of an airplane. Now I love watching the clouds and airplanes from the ground.
Glad Hugh had a great birthday and outing. Loved the pics of your competitive grandkids. The calendar album is such a great idea.
Thanks for the updates,

It is a shame airfares are so costly. I love to travel and would love to see the world.. But, now that I am retired my traveling will be to more local places. I am glad Hugh's birthday was a great time. Wonderful photos. Have a happy new week!

Hi Jean! Thanks for visiting my blog! So I hop over to yours and find Air Canada, and airline I've flown many times ~ usually the puddle jumpers. I do hope you get to fly to Canada ~ and I bet Halifax will be a stop! I would love to travel to NZ. I've had two trips planned there, but life happened and I couldn't go. Maybe third times the charm. Have a happy week ~ with some rain!

Hooray, Air Canada! We flew to Paris for our post-honeymoon!
I know you have heat, but we're pretty cold over here!
Another snowy day. I searched for deer antlers, again. I keep hoping!
You have such a wonderful family!

Firstly ~ Happy Belated Birthday to Hugh....all the best in 2015.

Secondly ~ Air Canada info looks pretty fair.....I do have some harrowing stories but I don't want to colour the picture any other way than Fly Air Canada.

Thirdly ~ 22 hours NZ to Can really is a long haul and the cost too...totally understand your conundrum and then to add insult to injury Vanc to Halifax is about 7 more hours. I can see why you just may not be on our doorstep anytime too soon. That's OK though ~ this blogland really helps.

Great family photos Jean.

All the best from freezing cold Nova Scotia.

I love your first photo of an Air Canada plane - circa ?? I first flew on a plane when I was fifteen and we went from Montreal where we lived, to BC to meet my paternal grandparents. We flew on Canadian Pacific Airline - which I think may have been a precursor to Air Canada. In my town we have world class mountain biking trails. Perhaps you need to bring Josh over to ride on them...

Congratulations to Danielle, and a belated happy birthday to Hugh- I can't remember if I said that before, so I will double dose him with greetings today, if I did!
My husband rides- he would have a ball on that course and I would be scared silly!
