A bit of this and a bit of that

Life continues here as usual, some shopping, some sewing, some blogging. I know that I can post directly to Blogger, but cannot have a choice of fonts I like, and the photos take  a long  time to insert. So this is a trial again, using Word, and hoping the photos will go when I copy and paste into Blogger. No, they didn't so just pasted them in while in Blogger.

Yesterday, Christmas shopping, a huge new cutting mat, and a bobbin holder, a plastic case with foam insert, cut out slots for 28 bobbins. A great day, but so busy, and didn’t get everything done, so out again today. Gift vouchers, socks (yes, boring but that is what they want). I am doing most of the driving again for a while,

Here are some lupins; the colours have ranged from white, pale cream, mauve, purple, pink and more.

Quotation of the day,
“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age,
 and dreams are forever"
Greetings from Jean

Beautiful lupins, Jean. Sorry about your technical hick up. I am one of those sock people. Boring yes, but comfort reigns.

Hello, my Christmas shopping has mostly been just buying gift cards. They do come in handy. Your lupins are pretty. Great quote, enjoy your day!

Lupines! One of my favorites. My seeds are now buried under feet of snow. Enjoy the season, Jean.

Oh how I long for Spring right now. I know Winter hasn't officially event began here, will be in a few days, but Spring is so beautiful with all its colors. Sounds like you are a busy bee with shopping. Hope Hugh is doing OK. Carol

Thank you for posting those lovely lupins; a treat for us with just expanses of grey and browns as far as the eye can see here these days.I have had only minor success growing them in the garden; they grow abundantly in my home province of Newfoundland and I love them. Meanwhile, glad you found your big mat and sorry about the computer glitches. The count down is on.

Lupines are one of my favorite flowers in my garden. These are beautiful. Sorry you have problems posting pics. Once in a while I have probs for a short time but then it straightens out for me. I go right into my computer where I store photos and bring them right over. I am wondering if you have your photos at too high a resolution and that is why it takes so long to load. Just a thought. LJ
