Frayed and Spoofed!!!

Good morning to you all, as we are officially into winter-time down here. Another frost this morning, but we might just get some sunshine.

NOW, the interesting and worrying news is that me clear email address has been “spoofed” Someone is using my email address to send me emails to myself. There is an attachment. that spells trouble… so if you do get  an email  , please do not open any attachments, as that email will not be from me.

And if you are in any doubt, use that magic word ‘ Covfefe”!!!

Now, the fabric that frays… dress fabric, and it was used to sew  a gift for my friend in Auckland.

frayed fabric

The colour matches her car, and I made a knitting needle holder, I think I am safe to show it here, as Jeanette is on Facebook, not a blog.

Jeanette #3

There was a scissor holder there too, minus the scissors.I am hoping it arrives today.

I have just had a wonderful phone call from a blog friend  up North,…. what a  great surprise, Shelley, you have made me so happy this morning. XXX to you.

Quotation of the day, author unknown,

“ Life is too weird and the world is too small”

Greetings from Jean

Oh my goodness, I am so glad I was not drinking my tea when I read, "And if you are in any doubt, use that magic word ‘ Covfefe”!!!" o_O It is unreal times we are living in and I am at least grateful for something #45 has done that has left me laughing until my sides hurt. What a lovely gift for your friend (I hope it arrives today, too), and what dedication to sew something so tedious. I hope you have a bit of sunshine and have a lovely day.

"Covfefe" had me laughing out loud, something I sorely needed on this depressing day that I am ashamed to be an American. You are a thoughtful and generous friend, Jean! I'm sure that Jeanette will be thrilled by your lovely gift made from some frustrating fabric. Sending you and Hugh love, hugs, and a wish for warmth! I hope you are feeling stronger every day!

Jean I had this very same thing with my emails some time ago, it suddenly stopped, thank goodness.
I'm sure your friend will love her surprise gift.

Sorry to hear that your email was hacked. Sadly, not all persons strive to make the world a better place. Heartening to know the majority do. Your friend will love your thoughtful gift.

What a perfect gift, and how very cool that you matched the fabric to her car! Oh the internet trolls (is that what we call them). I will never understand why they spend so much time causing trouble. Imagine if they took all the energy they use hacking and applied it to something good, how even better the world could be.

Finished on Monday, posted Tuesday, in transit on Wednesday and Thursday.. arrived Friday,... ( Facebook and phone call all done, phew what a relief it arrived in time) tested on Saturday, packed on Sunday and flying out on Monday. Not quite Oliver Grundy, but a lovely story! !!I had no idea the knitting needle holder would be on a trip abroad so soon, or at all... Now off to make some cell phone and charger holders.

Winter starts and the cold moves in. Isn't it nice to find so much warmth among friends? Thanks for sharing it all.

I just love the things you know how to do. Love the color of your friend's car too. Very cool. If I get an email from you, I can open it, but not any attachment, is that right. Let me know when you get it fixed. In case we need to talk about owl bags. Tomorrow Mary and I are going to listen to Rachael's band. They are giving a concert at the park where she works. Hopefully, I will get pictures to post.

Hi Jean,
I am all caught up on your posts. What a lovely tour of your still blooming things in your garden. That book you won(you seem very lucky!) is gorgeous and the final layout of your quilt is so nice. I can so identify with having to resew so thanks for sharing that and making me feel a little better about when it happens to me. Today's quote is priceless.
