Not A Partridge in a Pear Tree

12 Days Of Christmas in July Blog Hop banner
Hi Readers, North and South, and everywhere else  …
Starting on 14th July, Northern  time zone , Sarah over a
 Confessions of a Fabric Addict
is again hosting a wonderful event, the 12  Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop. Join in to see inspiration galore, with new bloggers each day showing some goodies to make, quilty,  Christmassy, or  otherwise. Sarah has a quilt-along, and at the finish line, you will have a quilt all made. As well, there are giveaways. Will this tempt you even more? Visit a blog, leave a comment, and each day  a name will be drawn, and at the end one grand winner. This is international as well, so come on in and join the fun.
Come and see my suggestions on 22nd July, again Northern time zone, and the finish is on a very auspicious day, 25th July, my birthday.
To start the ball rolling here are the first three blog hoppers and a link to their blog.
Come and see Carole at    From My Carolina Home
Next on the list is Sharon  at VROOMANS QUILTS
And the third blogger is Brandy over at Pampered Pettit.
And not like here in New Zealand, where roads are closed with snow, and 9,500 homes  are without power in the central North Island area,  and travel is very restricted  in so many areas, you do not have to travel to be in the hop… We had no snow, the power stayed on, no trees down at our place, and the fires kept everyone cosy and warm.
The fire in our lounge, with Poppy all stretched out in prime position.

Poppy and the fire
The fire when we were camping in Pureora Park. 5 a.m. on a very cold morning!!!
Fire at 5.30 a.m. Piropiro Flats, Pureora
And the heap of cut and split wood, almost all gone now!!!
The mighty heap of firewood 2016
Quotation of the day, author unknown
“ Be like a Boy Scout,
and prepare for anything and everything”

Greetings from Jean.

Oh, Lordy! I don't even want to think about Christmas yet! It's hard to think of it being winter somewhere when it's been so hot & humid here, but I'm glad you're warm and cozy. There's just nothing like wood heat.

I can't believe it's starting up already! And snow for you, I can't imagine!

Hello, the Christmas in July blog hop sounds like fun. I am sure there will be lots of beautiful goodies. I hope you are staying warm and safe there. The wood stove looks toasty, especially for Poppy stretched out in front.

Happy Friday, have a great day and weekend!

You were lucky to avoid the snow at your place, we were told that Auckland may have hail the other day but I din't see any, it has been mighty cold, wet and windy though. However, I'm thankful we're not having the weather that South Islanders are dealing with, nor the Central Plateau. Your afire looks extremely inviting!
