The other morning the sky showed these glorious colours,
“ North,South,East and West”
The Northern sky, from our front garden
The Southern sky, taken from almost the same spot, I turned round, and that colour was still there.
On the other side of our home, the first photo was almost startlingly beautiful.
One Eastern Sky, to uplift anyone’s day.
Finally, all eyes turn to the West.
This bulb was given to me by a very dear friend, and I missed the first flowering. Here is the smaller one, still to open properly.
My most grateful thanks to you all, for your words of hope, comfort, love and care for Poppy and for me. I value your friendship so very much, always, but specially now. Without these , my days would be much harder, and as night falls, so do my tears, darkness covers the sky, those colours fade, and I look outside for one last moment .
Quotation of the day from William Butler Yeats
“ Think where man’s glory most begins and ends,
and say my glory was I had such friends”
Greetings from Jean

Such majesty in your sky must be there to comfort you.
Wonderful sunrises - so sorry Poppy hasn't turned up yet.
What beautiful photographs, what a beautiful morning sky. I am so very sorry about little Poppy, you must be feeling sick at heart. It's the uncertainty and not knowing that makes it harder to bear.
Hang in there Jean and pray for her safety.
Those sunset skies are beautiful. If Poppy doesn't come back home to you, she'll be waiting for you on the rainbow bridge.
Love and hugs to you dear Jean ~ FlowerLady
Wow, what Beautiful skies, great!
We have spider lilies here that are a harbinger of fall and look much like that ... so pretty. I think of you every time I see a dramatic sky.
Your skies are so beautiful in all directions!
Gorgeous skies and heartfelt words. I am thinking of you.
You are so lucky, Jean, to have such unubstucted views in all directions. Lovely colors to greet a new day! So sorry that Poppy is still missing. Such grief when we lose a dear furry friend. Take Care, Jean. I'm at my son's house overnight to start my babysitting duties early in the morning.
Your words, a huge comfort, every one.Thank you so much . Update... a female tabby cat has been seen, for about the time she has been missing, at another home. So off on another walk tomorrow, hoping. Thinking of everyone in US, Boston specially, the families who have lost, the ones who are in hospital, all services who worked so hard,I truly hope all of your families and friends are safe.Greetings from Jean

My goodness Jean, you are so fortunate to have this view of a beautiful sunset in all 4 directions!! I don't think I have ever seen this before. Just lovely and very uplifting.
So sorry that Poppy hasn't returned as of yet. I know this is very upsetting for you. Please do take care.
