Are You My Dad?????

Today Boris and Ginger Boy met, and I think they both wanted to be friends.  A  few meows from each one, no fighting or even a cuff/pat or hiss.   However Ginger  Boy walked off, after a minute or so,  Boris waited on the step, then finally ran down the path.
Now, can he look any more astonished than this ???
Boris and Ginger Boy
The morning routine is, get out of bed, have a snack, visit the bathroom, and curl up on Hugh’s side of the bed for another hour or so.He is a very affectionate kitten, growing fast, loves the outdoors, his first visit to the garden was  last Tuesday, and he looks longingly at the leaves blowing, and tall trees!!! He has already climbed the Silver Pear, and the  Wintersweet. The cat door is not a problem, he leaps in and jumps out as if he has done that for  years.
Boris on the bed every morning
Ginger Boy has the thickest winter coat I have ever seen, and the ruff round his neck is as large as when he first arrived, in December 2013. The first photo was taken in January 2014, when I saw him stay still long enough  .He was still very shy then, and ran at the slightest noise.  It has taken all this time for him to become tame enough so I can pat him, but this is on his terms, and only when he is eating. Under the table, forget that, he backs away, and when he is asleep on the settee, he opens one eye and stares, as I put wood on the fire. No wonder he sleeps inside every night!!! Warm, cosy, a fleece bed waiting/
Ginger Boy and his winter coat
Here he is in January 2014, maybe after a year or so of living totally outdoors. Guess he needed that thick  coat even on summer evenings.

We have had gale winds all day, and by the morning I think more glass panes from the glasshouse will be blown out.
Quotation of the day, from Tennessee Williams
“ For time is the longest distance between two places”

Now those two are both beauties!! How nice that they both have 'found' you and Hugh, Jean. Cats are a joy to have.....in so many ways they are are still wild creatures and must have things their way.
I liked the 'time' quote.....can be fleeting mostly.

Your cat boys are super cute! No doubt Boris will work his way into Ginger Boy's heart, given time.

Jean those cats are so absolutely cute. I wished I could have cats but I'm off the charts allergic to them so I have to keep my distance. But those two are adorable and I am so happy they like each other. Wouldn't it be great if humans could climb like cats do. Carol

I'm sure Boris would love to play but the older guy only offers tolerance at this point. They are both very handsome lads.

Yes, I am asking for a caption, before I post this to a magazine for publication.. Suggestions please.. Did anyone notice an error in my words?? "No wonder he sleeps inside every night!!! WAR" , and it should have been "WARM", and spell check thinks it was a proper word so no alert!!! All OK here this morning, Boris his usual active self, plunket weigh in next time he is quiet and sleepy..

My cat is also very fluffy, she even gets terrible dreadlocks under her chin in spring as all the old fluff tries to fall off, and when I try to cut it off she gets very upset and hisses at me. So I guess it will fall off by itself. Your cats are funny together, I hope they will get along. Boris looks concerned.

I was looking at those imitation trees and the sadness of it and the beauty as well created instead, but I can't seem to able to comment so I'm commenting here, how horrible to have no tree and marvelous to have the imagination to create beauty, wow Nancy

I do enjoy reading your blog Jean, cats and cataracts - we have both in common! I've had both eyes operated on, then they found macular degeneration in the right one, so procedures for that and another tablet; no more appointments for three months, then maybe new glasses again. It's taken quite some getting used to, I have so much to be thankful for - but I do envy you your gorgeous cats - not ready to take on another one yet.....
