As 2016 comes to a close, I wish you all every happiness, much love, lots of laughter, and days filled with good health.
I have been so thankful for all your lovely caring words, comments, emails and prayers over the past few weeks.
Did you know that Santa has headlights on his sleigh? They shone down through the sky, onto the ambulance, as it whisked me off to hospital, and as midnight struck in clock towers, he travelled overhead. But on the way across the world, he stopped off with some goodies. Red batiks, for the “ 150 Canadian Women Quilt-along”.There they were, waiting when I came home this morning. This was another visit with the yet undiagnosed chest pain, I have been moved up the list and now should see a specialist very soon, and then have a visit to another larger hospital for tests. Staff wore Santa hats, Reindeer antlers, and the breakfast was wonderful. For one wonderful nurse, this was the first time she had been in ED on Christmas Day, and ditto for me. As we drove back though the front gate, home looked truly wonderful.
More goodies were waiting, among them this fabulous piece. I can see something wonderful to be made with all those words, from round and about the far south . Thanks so much, Ann and Russell.

So sorry to hear you have had yet another trip in the ambulance with the chest pain. I do hope they get it sorted soon.
Doug's granddaughter, who qualified as a nurse this year, is working today. She is in Orthopaedics (her second choice the first being A. & E. but they weren't taking new intakes.)

Dear sweet Jean ~ I am sorry to hear more chest pains sent you to the ER, especially at this time of year. Glad you are back home and hope your day is lovely, and that the cause of these pains will soon be found so that you can have some relief.

Gosh, not another ambulance trip, Jean! Sure hope the source of your chest pain is diagnosed and cured soon! You've got too much fun planned with those lovely fabrics to be sidelined. I am thankful for all the emergency personnel who are working on Christmas. Two young people who are dear to my heart are at work right now. They volunteer to work so the ones with young families can be at home with their little ones.
I hope you enjoy your lovely batiks, and all the other goodies.

I can't believe you were back in hospital again - I had hoped after we spoke a few days ago that things would settle down for you. I'm sure you will be seeing a specialist pretty quickly now! Rest, take things slowly and I hope the remainder of 2016 is hospital free!

Oh, Jean - that wasn't what I wanted to hear. I'm so sorry that your chest pain is continuing. I'm glad, though, that you're higher on the specialist's list.

Thank you all so much for your words, thoughts , prayers and emails and phone calls. I cannot tell you enough times how these words from across the oceans, are so like a quilt, comforting, giving warmth, and are full of love. The 25th was a very quiet day, what remained of it, and today much the same. Red fabrics are washed, ironed and ready for some catch up sewing. The ham is still waiting, a friend delivered some yummy Christmas cake, with icing!!! I am hoping that no updates will be needed, until the next tests happen.
