That poem just breaks your heart every time you see it. Hope all is well in your part of the world. Spring is here now, so I will begin to use the beautiful bag you gave me. It's most definitely a spring and summer accesory.
Thousands at the Dawn Service here. I hope things get sorted for you soon.
My kids formed part of the local honour guard for the flag last night so we were pretty tired today. But it was a great remembrance experience for all.
What a lovely sentiment to all of the fallen and their families left behind. I love those gorgeous red poppies. I have a bedspread with red poppies on it. Carol
Wonderful post in honor of your Anzac Day. God Bless all the service men and women!I love the pretty poppies! Enjoy your day!
What a beautiful remembrance. God Bless!
That is such a sad and beautiful poem. I love the red poppies.
Beautiful heartfelt words. May the world never forget the heartache and destruction of wars, oh when willl we ever learn.
Absolutely gorgeous photos of brilliantly red poppies! War is just so wrong. That is such a beautiful poem, written by a Canadian. :-)
Dear Jean, is your post in memory of the New Zealand and Australian soldiers who fought and died at Gallipoli during World War I? Their courage is always mentioned in every book I read about that war. Peace.
I thought of you on Anzac Day. "In Flander's Fields" is my favorite poem. We must never forget the sacrifices of those who fought for our freedom.
Your Anzac Day is also commemorated at my home province in Newfoundland as soldiers from the Newfoundland Regiment were the only North American forces fighting with the allies including ANZAC at Gallipolli. ANZAC of course, outdid themselves. Always remembered for sure.
It is important to remember.

Awesome post in tribute to our ANZAC soldiers.
Hi Jean,
I've just read up on the importance of Anzac Day. We Canadians celebrate Rememberance Day Nov 11th for the same reason. Our symbol is also the poppy and In Flanders Fields is also read....What a powerful poem. Now I have 2 days for rememberance of those who fought so hard for our freedom.
Thanks for visiting my blog this morning....
Are these your poppies? They are beautiful.
