High roads and rocky walls

Snow chain bay on Crown Range roadAll seal road to Wanakarocky formations from Crown Range road

Look at this, chain fitting bays, all numbered, all the way on the Crown Range road from Arrowtown to Wanaka. The road is sealed all the way, and the markers are on either side.
Would you be brave enough to travel when the snow is so deep,  you need a marker to show where the road drops away to farmland below??
Lake Wanaka, with a few skiers, some boats, one brave lady sunbathing,
and tourists everywhere. Maybe Hugh and I were included in this category, we were  obviously not locals, as we looked, took photos and visited so many shops.

Sunrise at Arrowtown.  The early morning cloud soon went, and we had another brilliant day.
Just lingering snow, from the last heavy falls earlier on.

look at those colours, I can see them in a quilt!!My favourite in  blue/purple shades.
