Hugh’s Photos

While we were down South, Hugh took many photos.
We have finished editing them, renaming, deleting and so on.
His camera is far superior to mine, so here are 2 of his  better shots!!!
Well, one is certainly  much better, the other? Not sure??
Lake Wakatipu, taken on the way to Glenorchy, looking towards Paradise.

Here I am at Glenorchy Wharf. It was a stunning day, with superb scenery.
Well, the scenery was that, not so sure about the lady in that photo.

Jean at Glenorchy wharf
While there, we visited “ Glenorchy Fur Products”  There were round hats, coloured hats, Davy Crockett type hats
designed to keep your head warm on the very coldest day.
There were cushions, neck warmers, and much more. He will post anywhere, the website is

Looks like you had a great trip - the lake looks wonderful. The fur place is interesting but too expensive at the moment. Very best wishes for 2012.

Yes, it was quite nostalgic goi9ng to visit the lakes, drove past where we lived, met some friends, old ones from the 70's and 80's. Yes, the hats were too dear for me, but so warm. Kaz was very lucky, she managed to get one for $65, earlier this year. All the ones I saw were about $100 plus. But IF we ever move south, that is on the MUST GET list. Cheers, jean

Hi, I have found your blog...I am getting the hang of this....We visited New Zealand in 2001 we only had time to visit the south island in a hired motor home but loved the experience. Family members have just left New Zealand they have been on a 14 day boat cruise they arrive back in Sydney late tonight. Best Wishes for the New Year Cheers Helen

I can't imagine a quotation that could resonate more with me. Perfect!
