Today we have had strong winds, squalls, and the stream is running fast and brown. There was no good reason to brave the weather and work outside. Hugh edited some of his GoPro video camera footage, then we tried to view it on the TV. No luck, so looked at it on my laptop. I then Googled some quilt patterns, and found all kinds of wonderful designs. I like this woven design. Then there were the New York Beauty ones, which one do I like the best?? So easy to see my favourite colours. All these are courtesy of the Internet.
look at this, a flower garden made with New York Beauty blocks, Beautiful. The Internet is the source of inspiration, talent, colours, designs and all else.

Hi Jean
What super inspiration.
I'm sure there is a NY Beauty in my future. I won a bundle of batiks a few years back, that's what I plan to use.
............one day

I wouldn't dare to look for more patterns ... I'm so far behind!
Yes Julie, me too, but I did so enjoy browsing, selecting, and YES, dreaming about what I might do one day.I admire so much the talent that shows in all these. Cheers from Jean
Really nice! We have not summer wheather, its raining and every day some rain record is beaten. Yesterday it came 73 mm and thats record for one day. Lucky to work some weeks more until I take vacation :-)
My dad was in Auckland once. He spent 6 weeks travelling around Australia. It was a Christmas gift from my mother. They never traveled together because they thought one of them should always be with me. I wish they would have enjoyed a vacation together. I remember a shirt he brought me from Alice Springs. I think that is where he went on a hot air balloon ride.
All the quits are lovely... I could never do anything that fancy!!
Hi Gayle, the quilt blocks have all been sewn by someone else, I did some Google searching, and they are a real inspiration. I long way for your Dad to travel down here,Alice Sorings would be a great place to be in a hot air balloon. Cheers from Jean
Good morning Jean ~ Well, it's morning here in s.e. FL, USA. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your kind comment.
I've never made a quilt in my life. I've got squares cut out to make 'one' for DH and myself. I 'hate' using a sewing machine, I get tense and haven't used one in over 30 years.
Those quilts you found online for inspiration are wonderful, and the colors fantastic.
I look forward to visiting your blog to see more of your quilting, life, and what is going on in your part of the world.
