Frozen Showers

Afternoon hail

Today we went for a drive to Mt Curl Road, the highest part is  over 400 metres above sea level. The Metservice said there might be snow about the 400m level this afternoon. We drove, I froze, and no snow!! We did have some hail this afternoon. Then tonight heavy hail rattled on the roof, and coated the table. it piled up on the tarp on an outside table, this is on the West side of our home.

Hail on the tarp.
This pile of wood is great winter comfort on a night like this.
Winter warmth
Quotation of the day, from the Webster Dictionary
Hailstone, (noun) a single particle of ice falling from a cloud”

That will be why it is what I call "cold" here - an icy wind from the south.

Is this your winter... or will you actually get a bunch of snow? I truly dislike cold as I've gotten older and would just love it to be sunny all the time!

Yes, we have winter, no snow here, but a lot further south, and North of us.We had snow at our place last August, a rare event. Cheers from Jean

Wishing for some kind of coolness here, but no hail! It was 110 the other day. Don't get too cold!
