Camera Fun

I have joined a Photography site called “ The Ugly Hedgehog” and along with forums, buy and sell, chit chat, and all else, there are so many who offer suggestions to us who ask. One person wanted to know how to make a photo into a sphere, and here is my Tibouchina flower. The original photo is edited, with Photoshop Elements, or another photo processing program, distorted, polarised etc. and bingo!!! there is the new image.

Here is Josh, I was on the bank above and he was in the Tutaenui Stream.  I like the “mother-of-pearl” effect.

My next challenge is to finish a wall hanging, 2 bags, one quilt, several other things that need sewing up, mending or finishing. The garden needs planting, weeding,, not in that order!!! and the pond will undergo “repairs and maintenance’”this week .After that, if I have any energy left, I want to learn how to make a watermark and insert it on my photos. I do not for a minute think they would be worth anyone copying and using as their own,  but I  know so many of us do have our name, logo or other words on the photos, so I might as well try to do it .More grey hairs and worry lines by the sound of it.
Quotation of the day,  from Karl Heiner
“Life is like a good black and white photograph,
there’s black, there’s white, and  lots of shades in between”
Cheers from Jean

Gosh Jean
You really are moving on with your camera work. I think I'll always be a point and shoot photographer.
Cheers

Hi Lorraine, the UHH site is good for lots of help, but even with help the watermark eludes me.If you want the method for the sphere, let me know, I can email it to you.5 easy steps. Your flower pics are always super.Greetings, Jean.

I love the spheres Jean! my daughter gave me Photoshop for my birthday and I can't wait to learn it! You are so busy. Good luck with that list.

I'd be tempted to join that myself if my camera wasn't broken, and if I had photoshop, lol! Love the effect of your pics! Sounds like you really have your work cut out for you, girl...

Great work jean. Soon the switch to a new computer will be done. It takes some time to copy all over to the new one.
Our new router is not satisfied with the new computer :-) somehow the connection is still slow and we really have the best and fastet you can get....
We have sun, wind and only +12C today. My last week of holidays...

Hi, is the new computer at home or work? enjoy the holiday, but a bit cool at 12C, we are getting warmer each week now.Cheers,Jean.

These are truly interesting 'effects', Jean. I couldn't see the boy initially, then there he was!
As far as a 'watermark' goes....are you familiar with Picasa? It is the 'photo-editing' process free from Google. There is a watermark feature on it that is easy to use....just a 'check' of a box.
The quote is one we all could realize and use daily. The world would be a calmer and peaceful place.

Thanks Jim, I have Picasa, so will try that, all others I get so far and then FAIL, just missing out one step I think, even with written instructions.Yes, Josh was in the stream below our boundary, in December 2006.Cheers from Jean

Isn't it so much fun creating special effects with photos. I hope to have more time soon to play around with it.
