Morning Views, Christmas Day, 2012

The sky greeted me very  early,  with   beautiful colours that  suggested another fine, hot day. Shadows  played on  the trees and lawn as the sun started to show .

One brave Gladioli has deep purple petals, with almost lime green foliage.

I wish to you all…

Safe travels, fine weather, laughter, happiness,  good health, and days to share with family or friends.

Well hubby and I spent a quiet Christmas hibernating. I love it. We have had any big dumps of snow so lots of time inside to just relax for a few days. But I am getting anxious and must start preparations for closing house and packing as we head south middle of January. Soon we will be enjoying the warm sunny desert. I will mist this beautiful snow we have had. May you and Hugh have a very blessed New Year. Hugs Carrie

I can't seem to leave comments. Blogger is saying I'm not logged in.... will try again to say that I love glads. My mom grew the most beautiful ones, but I have yet to figure that one out. Love the big round trees and the great expanse of grass. My kids would love to run there.

Hi KB, Carrie, Gayle and Shirley, Glads are lovely but I should have staked them, all 2 of them!!! Grass is lovely too, just too much for me to go round the borders. Will email with thanks to each of you tomorrow. Fond goodnight to all from Jean. p.s.long day, started at 5.30 a.m. now 9.30 p.m. time for bed!!

What a beautiful blessing. Not sure as I'd be happy celebrating Christmas in such warm climes, but it looks like you had a perfect day. Wishing you a an equally auspicious beginning to the new year!

Hi Ashling and Jim, yes we had a lovely day, with new friends and their family. A bit too hot, but now it is cooler, and maybe the New Year will herald itself in with more rain. May 2013 be a good year for us all, greetings from Jean.
