Update on Sleep and Heart

Hugh has been well since Thursday, but we realise that with this last episode, life has changed, specially in the “camping alone”  department. This will have a huge review in the coming weeks. Sleep, the lack of it, has a huge influence on daily activities. I am having an       “ afternoon snooze”   every day, and hope the pattern of a full night’s sleep will return soon .

Meantime we have so much to be thankful for. Your words, emails,  and more, I thank you so much, with all my heart,  this has helped me through  the worrying days , as Barb said,  we are one “ International family” , and this is so true.

I am thinking of the people on board the Malaysian Airlines plane, and all their families. Caring thoughts  for them all. no words are adequate for a  disaster like this.

Some photos of a friend’s flowers, and another friend’s little hen, maybe a few bright spots in a very sad and worrying week.

Quotation of the day, author unknown

“When you have friends, it is like flowers having sunshine”

Dear Jean, I think of you and Hugh often, hoping you both are doing ok and he is getting better. I think as I get older my mortality is a glaring thought I can't forget but also I respect knowing I must move forward and dare to do all the things I dream of. Keep that thought in your minds eye and move thru every day with hope and faith. Barb is right. We are an international family. It is odd because I have no close friends other than my sisters, but lots of friends around this globe. God has a strange way of giving us what we need no matter our circumstances. My Best to you guys, Carol

So sorry to read that poor Hugh was rushed to hospital, and you along with him. (We have been away in the caravan and have not always had internet, but are home now).
Keep strong together, but I know that you are still in "recovery mode" yourself after your fall.

Beautiful flower pics to brighten our day, and I love chooky!

So pleased to hear Hugh has been well since Thursday - it must be a worry though and, as you say, cause a problem with solo treks.

Dear Jean ~ All any of us can do is take each day as it comes.

Online friends are wonderful and I am so thankful for them.

May you both feel love and peace surrounding you.

Oh, my friend, how scary that must have been. I am glad Hugh is OK and that it was nothing more serious. I hope you are able to catch up on your sleep and are both feeling very well soon. Sending Love and Ladybug Hugs from Florida USA. xoxo

Hoping your sleep patterns return to a routine that makes you feel at your best. I think napping is a really good way to even things out. Life's patterns change and we must remain flexible to survive, I think. Love and prayers, G.

Grab that sleep whenever you can get it and take care of yourself. Your health is important too.

So good that Hugh is okay. That must have been a scare! I hope you can keep on keeping on with your - and his - active lifestyle. It's what makes it all fun.

I enjoyed the beautiful red dahlia bloom. The cute little chicken reminds me of my little Sicilian Buttercup chicken, which is a friendly little doll.

Isn't it amazing how much love can come across in blogging? There really isn't a distance at all. You are both in my thoughts. Thanks for updating us.

Aren't we fortunate Jean to have this 'International Family'!
Those afternoon snoozes can be very beneficial.....even just 5 or 10 minutes.
Regards to Hugh and hope the ribs are healing and you can begin to laugh again.

Those flowers were just what I needed on this terribly snowy day!
Cute chicken.

Here's hoping that Hugh will adapt in time to the new limitations put on him and you both will continue to do what you love and enjoy.
I really like the photos here too.
It is very upsetting to hear about tragedies like this plane crash/disappearance, Jean. Let's hope the families will recover from their loss.

Prayers for you and yours. I have trouble sleeping and it is to the point of black circles under my eyes. I'm hoping that I can get back into a good groove soon. My grandparents used to nap every day, right after lunch. I think that is a terrific and time-tested method of combating sleepless nights. The missing plane is worrisome. I don't understand why they can't find it.
