I am the original “ Black Belt” in putting things off until the very last minute. However, now Hugh has been given a date for his surgery, I am motivated like never before to finish sewing, tidy cupboards, clean windows, and have all paperwork done to the last full stop.
How do all things happen at the same time?
I passed my medical for license renewal, this is compulsory when you reach 75!!! ; the new license will arrive any day, I have been issued with a temporary one meantime. Several friends also have their birthdays in July, one party invitation already, a lunch for another, phone calls and a card or two for those further away. Then we travel to Wellington, and surgery is on Monday 27th July. Suddenly, it is all systems go!!!
Apprehensive, worried, relieved, and thankful the wait is not longer. We have already had one phone call, with the time to be there on that morning. Motel is booked, travel plans arranged, and lots of little things here are in the diary…. to be finished, tidied, cleaned, organised , and all done by then. At home, everything is planned for smooth sailing, Norman will take over the day-to-day duties of firewood, and more, Joyce will be on cat feeding duties, and combined they will be a great team.
My Dad would be so proud of me, as many years ago he gave me one of these. He knew me so well.
Quotation of the day, author unknown
“Procrastination is the enemy of time.
Delay and that time is gone, do it today
and you will have more time tomorrow to
procrastinate all over again”

Belated Happy Birthday and well done on the driving license. You do sound very organised. Our Round Tuit got lost in the move!!!
All the best for Hugh's surgery.
Hello Jean, Sounds like you have been busy. It does seem to make time go by faster when you have a lot to do. Congrats on your license renewal, that is good news. It is great that you now have the surgery date and everything is well planned out. Just keep calm and all will go well. Enjoy the rest of your week!
Well, maybe procrastination has been delayed for a while! Love to you and yours! G
I hope everything goes well for you all. It sounds like you have it all under control. Best wishes. Carol
Hugs to you and Hugh, for both your birthday and his upcoming surgery. We will be thinking of you and your trip and stay in Wellington while Hugh is being "restored".

Belated Happy 75th and I'm glad you passed to get your license.
I also am a procrastinator. It sounds like you are doing great getting ready for Hugh's surgery. Bless your heart!
Love, hugs and prayers for the both of you ~ FlowerLady
I love your round tuit! Happy 75, Jean - and many more. I'll be thinking of HUgh and you on the 27th. Stay safe and well.
Ah, if only you could abolish my procrastination too!!!!!
Great news about the license and the surgery date. Don't be too hard on yourself before the surgery because you will certainly have your hands full after it (so a little procrastination is okay :)
forward, ho! hooray!
Dearest Jean, a very happy (belated) birthday! I am so happy that you passed your medical. Sending you both much love and hugs.
There is nothing like motivation to find those 'tuit's. Please add my best wishes to those expressed for Hugh's upcoming operation. Here, once we turn eighty, we need eye and driver tests every two years. And our doctors are duty bound to report any driving related health problems to the licensing department.
Jean
I'm glad it's all arranged. I am a great procrastinator too. I just have too much going at once and then get distracted a long the way too! I love your Father's gift to you-so special. I need my own round tuit, so I can finally get around to it all!
Have a great day-Kim
I think procrastination is really "breathing time", and goodness knows, you need some of that!
You'll do it, or do the best at the time. Sometimes housework needs to be last! I kno you can live each day and take it easy enough. Don't overdo it! We love you lots.xo
It's a serious illness, an 'itis, a worrisome thingie indeed as I procrastinate daily. I jest!
I only wonder if I'm going to have to rewrite / redrive for my licence too! Aaargh!
Please forgive me for shivering as I gaze on your snowflakes.
Teasing again!
Take care and be a good girl!!
Ron
You sound like you are in a flurry of activity. I'm glad Hugh will get his problems resolved soon. It's great that you passed your driver's license, that's important. I hope you get all the things done you need. I'm having a health challenge, I reinjured my knees that were getting better with too much strenuous gardening again. Getting older is no fun. It's good you have so much firewood stocked up for the winter!
Praying for you both! And Happy Belated Birthday!
A late happy birthday and so glad for your passing for your drivers license! I love the round tuit! LOL
Hoping Mr. Hugh is holding up well...bless his heart.
Wanted to say that regarding your question if our kids lived in their lake house year 'round..no, they have a home here 9 miles down the road from us...the lake house is a summer vacation house. I think they might want to retire there someday but that's a looong way off.
Isn't motivation great when it finally arrives? Good luck with everything!
Great news that it is all coming to fruition. Best of well wishes for Hugh and for you. I seriously need one of those roundtoits!
Have a nice weekend!
