The sky was dull grey almost all day, with glorious rain!!! The grass looks greener, the farmers are happier, and water tanks are full again.
I mentioned in a comment earlier, that we had grey skies all day, but for those fleeting moments at 8.30 p.m. there was a small flash of orange/pink in the west.
Looking south, colours changed again. Enhanced with an AV setting.
This grey sky, taken tonight looking to the East, was the same dull grey I saw all day, through bands of rain. wind driven at times.

“ Medicine heals doubts as well as diseases”

Beautiful color for the end of a gray day.
Our sky looked like that at about 5pm but we are expecting snow tomorrow.
I'm hoping for some sun to show up this week Jean.
I love it when the clouds do this! So pretty!
Beautiful pictures...skies are different from time to time....
Thank you all, today the sky is grey again, sunrise was not coloured, and early a.m. we had 4.9C, quite cool for February. But maybe even the grey sky has its own qualities. Greetings from Jean
Congrats on the needed rain; wishing you sunny skies tomorrow!
Yes Ashling, the rain was so needed, wish we had more but for today, there is some sunshine, now, after a cold start. Cheers, Jean.
What gorgeous colors, my friend! Such beautiful photos you take, I feel like I am standing right there next to you :-).
Beautiful shots, Nancy! Love those clouds!
We had several days of drizzle - to ml altogether. Fine today though.
That was supposed to be 10 ml.
Thank you Kat,Brian and Susan, yes 10 ml is a good amount of the much needed rain, I guess you have been so dry up there too. The sky colours have been lovely lately, but I nearly missed these shots, by the time I noticed the colour there, grabbed the Canon, raced!!! outside, it had already faded to a less intense shade. But now if the mornings are cooler, like today 4.9C, some wonderful skies should be waiting. Greetings from Jean.
Beautiful pictures, Jean! Yesterday we had rain, thank goodness. Everything was so dry. My garden was starting to shrivel up and the paddocks are gold instead of green. Only one day of it but it was good, steady rain - around 40 mls.
Judith, Hugh said we had over 22ml, good rain, but more would be better, that was enough to ease the fire worry. Even our pittosporum trees were totally wilted, something I haven't seen here before. Hope you get more, specailly for those farmers. Cheers from Jean
Such beautiful colours and so wonderfully captured!
Thanks Janet, I was so lucky to notice the sky before it all went to grey. Cheers, Jean
