It's the final months of school and the Year 11 students are preparing for life beyond Thornhill.
English teacher Mr Burton is one of a kind. He's an Assistant Head at just 30 years old, and music, fancy-dress and jumping on tables are all part of his teacher's toolkit. This year, he has his most challenging C/D borderline class so far, and two of his students pose very different challenges.
Musharaf has a severe stammer, and anxiety about leaving Thornhill seems to have made it worse. As Musharaf prepares for his GCSE English oral exam, Mr Burton is prepared to try any tactic, no matter how unusual, to help improve his fluency

I opened the link to make sure it was correct, and one time, just once, it did not work and took me to another totally different site. Apologies if this happens!!!
Today was almost cloudless, brilliant sunshine, and flowers and grass dazzled.Shade under the English Elm Tree beckoned, the seat was waiting, providing a quiet place to ponder over many things.
Quotation of the day… from Martin Luther
For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider,
every green tree is far more glorious
than if it were made of gold and silver.

Jean, what beautiful photos! I agree with the quote!
Links will have to wait until I get home, but had to thank you for the eye candy...such beautiful flowers & bright colors. I love Fall dearly, and Winter is special....but one never tires of feasting on color and the glories of flowers. Thank you!
Hi! Lovely Pictures you show. Take some time for us in Sweden to enjoy flowers like that.
Have a nice weekend!!

Beautiful photos and love that quote too. Carol
I love the reminder that it is Spring somewhere.
That link is incredible. Thank you for sharing.
And, I adore seeing your springtime. What gorgeous flowers!
Love the link.......thank you. Beautiful flowers.......are those in your garden? It is getting cold here and your spring photos are so warming!
Thank you all for your lovely words. Almost all the trees, flowers, lawn and all else are in our own garden, unless I have said where it comes from. Spring is in full bloom here, hot days, slightly cool mornings, riotous growth of the lawns!!! and birds either building nests or feeding chicks. Hoping to see some very soon, chirping but well hidden. Greetings to all, take care in the colder North. Jean.
Lovely photos Jean. The poppies are gorgeous.
No, I rarely print any photos, except for pics of the family.
Your photos are beautiful.
Have a nice sunday! RW & SK
Your photos are always so beautiful. Though I can't say why, the bench under the shade tree especially struck me. I think I could sit on that bench all day! With love and ladybug hugs, Kat
Thank you so much for the link, what a great teacher; love your photos always, some of my very favourite flowers, lupins and poppies - thanks so much.
All your flowers are sooo beautiful!
Your place really is so beautiful. So much like a park. We are expecting a big dump of snow this weekend and very cold tempetures. Hard to believe I was just in the garden today digging the last of my leeks and gleaning more Kale. It will be flowers, flowers and more flowers for you. I know where I can come to brighten my dull days here.
Beautiful photos. Your place is so wonderful :)
Greetings !
Welcome Ela, you have some super photos on your blog. Thanks for your words. Greetings, Jean,.
I didn't realize how much I missed the flowers until I scrolled down to these. I'm cold (it's about -10*) and there's snow.... not enjoying winter at all.
Hi Gayle, I look on "wunderground" each day, and saw a few weeks ago you would have reached a maximum of about -12, and the minimum was going to be -23. Way too cold for me to even imagine, I'll keep on posting some bright flowers for you to enjoy. Take care, cheers to all at TWH, Jean.
