This link was on the forum “ Ugly Hedgehog” and is good value and excellent advice for us all. I will be extra careful from now on . When I do use a photo from the internet, that has free availability, I acknowledge it, and put the original person’s name, if it has been posted originally, but this might not be enough.
And in light of KB’s experience, maybe we all need to be aware of photo theft.
Our English Elm Tree in season’s changes.
Quotation of the day. from Henry Ward Beecher
The sun does not shine for a few trees and flowers, but for the wide world's joy.

i do think that is very wise advice to pass along.
That's an amazing transformation with your tree. Seasons are so vastly different.
Great post and information! I always use my own photos. Sometimes I may add a link. And I wonder about doing that? Have a happy weekend!
I guess I always figure that if I put something on the Internet, it's public. There are plenty of places to store things that are private. We want to share, but not too much!
I only use my own pictures and appreciate when others ask permission to use them, but I would never think of suing someone. Living so many years in Japan has made me surprised how sue happy other countries are.
Lovely seasonal views of the Elm. We don't have many left here, they died of Dutch Elm disease. I only use my own photos on my blog.
So neat to see a tree in all it's transitions. Lovely images.
That is such a magnificent tree!
I think KB's photo theft is worrisome - it's actually identity theft. I've been watermarking my photos and think that may stop theft though people still often copy and use on Pinterest. At least there the source is credited.
Wonderful photos. I love the same view at different times of year. I need to start a series like that myself!!!
I didn't hear about this, but I will try to be more careful!
Great post and information!
Have a nice sunday!
I am glad that I only use my own photos!! Love your trees.
Wow, that article was very informative. Thanks for sharing that link and info. Thank you also for your sweet comment on my last blog post. Your kind words meant a lot to me. Thanks for not giving up on me as I try to get back into the swing of things. xoxo
Hello, Nancy.
Thank you for your visit and kind comment. I am glad that you have a dear friend in Osaka. Osaka is very near from my town, just 30 minutes drive takes me to the center of Osaka. But the road is very busy.I usually use a train to be there. Also,Osaka is my mother's hometown. I like Osaka!
Your trees are beautiful. I had to enlarge to enjoy them!!
I hope you have a good week.
Greeting from Japan

I am a short English learner as my hobby.
Oh, my, that is scary to get into trouble for things like this. Even with quotes, I always put the person's name underneath it......just in case. Thank you for making us all aware!
I always love the changing of seasons of a tree. Hope you are recouperating from you fall. Also enjoyed your photos from your day at the beach. Ok I really have to get out and start organizing for my camping trip. Take and sending you and Hugh lots of hugs.
