June’s Full Moon, 2014

This was an exercise in warm clothing, remote shutter control, and patience. Last night Full Moon bathed the lawn like daylight, and I waited till this morning to get a photo. Why wait till a freezing morning, 1 Celsius, too many clothes, hat, neck warmer, gumboots, and more!!! Here it is in Full Glory, well, that is not true at all, as it is not in Telephoto, the trees take priority today.

Moon, early June morning

Full Moon June 14th

Same moon, June 2014

Quotation of the day, author unknown

“ Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are

Footprints on the moon”

Greetings from Jean

Thanks you so much for your kind comment on my husband's update post. These things happen and they are not easy to deal with, but I believe one can one do it one day at a time and cherish the happy moments. I have decided to follow your blog because many of my blogger friends are yours as well. And your comment was so sweet.

Finally, I think I have been here before. Didn't you post that magnificent video Wild Sweden, which Majsan at Lindsjo Taxar told me about?

Hi all, it has warmed up considerably, down to a layer or 2, and no hat. Inger, yes you are so right, that video was one of the loveliest I have seen, and as you have, I've added you to my blog list. One day, a good way to go, today slightly improved, but the miracle I long for may not happen. Hugs, Jean.

And so worth the time and effort, Jean! These are beautiful! Stunning! Good job.
It has been overcast here lately, so no visuals of the moon here.
Have a wonderful Sunday and regards to Hugh on this Father's Day.

Stunning photos Jean.....I wish I could get up that early....I used to when I worked. Maybe I need a massive nudge or a wet lick from Sophie!

Perfect and lovely photos! I woke up last night to the full moon bathing my bedroom--I thought I'd left the lights on at the barn at first, it was beautiful. I hope you have had an enjoyable day, and all is well!

How lovely Jean. We were just driving home from the lake and saw the waning full moon. Here in Canada, it fell on Friday the 13th and was called the "Honey Moon".

Hi Jean, re my columbine photo, it's straight out of the camera :)

Hi all, the full moon was really on the night of the 13th, but to the East are too many tall huge trees, so I thought the Saturday morning would be fine. But no matter what I tried, I now realise the telephoto lens would have been a huge improvement. Next month maybe. and also, we had bright moonlight all night, so the lawn looked like daylight. Photography isn't for chumps! Good for you for going out in the bracing night air. We were cool last night, too, but we are in late spring!
