From Sunrise to Sunset, and all in between.
Many Good Wishes to all my friends, have wonderful days with family, and friends, and I send you so many thanks for your love, care, good wishes and support, specially over the last few months. Last night, Santa arrived about 10 p.m. I had visited Trade Me, Hugh needed a mobility scooter. I sent a message, Wit replied, he said he would deliver( what a wonderful couple they are), we drove up town to the money machine, stopped on the way by a police squad doing breath checks!!!. The car and trailer arrived, the scooter is wonderful, a life-saver in so many ways . Thanks Wit and Roxanne, so very much. That was yesterday in a nutshell.
Let it snow, they said, It did, August 2011
Trees , not a single one inside this year, I have left the decorations to nature, The English Elm Tree, green leaves, branches sloping down, a canopy for shade.
Christmas Day here, fine, some sunshine, a quiet day together, I reflect on the year that has been, and have hopes for 2015 to bring health and happiness all round, with Peace and Joy to everyone.
Quotation of the day, author unknown
“ The greatest gift you ever receive is not found in a shop or under the tree.
It is found in the hearts of your family and true friends”
Greetings from Jean

glad you were able to get the scooter! hope you have/had a wonderful holiday!
A beautiful quote. So very true.
I'm glad that you got that scooter, and I hope it helps. I, too, like to leave the decorations to Mother Nature. Your decorations are summerlike (except 2011!) while mine is snow on pine trees!
Merry Christmas, and I hope that 2015 brings good things to you and Hugh.
Happy Christmas dear Jean and Hugh!
Merry Christmas Nancy!

THANK YOU for your kind comments that you leave on my blog and for your friendship. I look forward to that continuing in 2015.
Take care!
So ...the trees for inside get used to warm the room (in the fire place) Enjoy the stuff that counts.
Beautiful sentiments!!!
There really is a 'Santa'! What a perfect 'gift' for this particular moment in time, Jean. Hugh is a real trooper.
We gave up the whole tree-inside a few years ago and now have a little ceramic tree that belonged to Ron's mother. Perfect.
Beautiful photos of your day, Jean. Here's to a lot more in 2015!! All the best.
Wishing you and Hugh a very happy New Year, hon....so glad you got the scooter...lovely pics, all the best to you and yours in the new year!
Hi Nancy,
Love your pics and the saying is so true. Many people in my parts have finally discovered just being basic for Christmas is best and so much more rewarding. Happy New Year to you.
Cheers, Anita.
Hi Nancy,
Love your pics and your saying is so true. Many people in my parts have gone back to basics at Christmas and it's so much more rewarding. Happy New Year to you.
Cheers, Anita.
What a delightful post! I always enjoy stopping by here and looking at your pretty photos! Wishing you a happy New Year!
greetings Jean! So glad you had a wonderful Christmas. We went all natural with our decorating too with the exception of a two-foot tree for the babies to decorate. Glad you were able to get a mobility scooter for hubby, makes like much easier, although it is tough for me to use in the house...too many tight corners. May I ask what happened to him to become disabled? I unfortunately lost a limb due to a bone infection complicated by diabetes since childhood. He has my best wishes for the new year, as do you my new friend in blogland.
Happy New Year- may the coming year bring you blessings a plenty.
