No time to get dressed, adjust settings or walk down the street to get a better photo without trees shadowing that wonderful colour. 2 photos, now, decision time, will I walk very quickly and get better ones? YES, get dressed, look to the East, and the colour has faded to an insignificant grey. Nature delights us with these colours, stunning in their short display, and tomorrow may show us the same all over again.
Quotation of the day,
“ Red sky at night, sailors’ delight; Red sky at morning, sailors’ warning “
Cheers from Jean.

Oh! how lovely Jean ... our sky was grey and wet with quite bad rain this morning now the winds have arrived ...just in time to remove the blossom from the fruit trees ... so fingers crossed it will ease soon. hugs Laurie
Stunning display of nature. Thanks for sharing it.
Brief and beautiful. You have captured it well. The quote reminds me of my dad. Only he said - fishermen - not sailor.
I love how you have captured the colour! I find often a stunning sky just looks faded in the photo.
The colours faded so fast, no time for a better view down the road. I used my Canon 550D, manual setting, f4.5 ,1/125 second, and ISO 1600. This was at 6.37 a.m. No editing at all, and I am happy with the result. Thanks for your lovely comments. Cheers from Jean.
Beautiful pictures Jean!! Hope you get better wheather, we have +22C here today. Thats for sure last summerdays I think.
But last year when the hunting started with the dachshunds 1st Oct it was +23C and it was very hard for them to work in the warm wheather,
Your words are so true. Nature's glorious art is so fleeting that it can be hard to decide whether it's best to be here or someplace else to capture it!
I love the pink and blue!
Thanks KB, we now have gale winds, huge hail elsewhere, lightning strikes, so I was very fortunate to get those 2 photos before it all went to grey.Yes, nature's colours are fleeting, you say it so well. Cheers, Jean.
