Words for today

One Photo for Today

My thanks to you all who read my words, then write words for me and for Hugh.

Do you have any idea how much they lift me up/cheer me up? Each is so special, and I feel a whole lot better in spirit, mind and body, ready for anything life may hurl my way.

I have new readers/blog members, and I so appreciate you all. Each of us has some hard times in life, and through our blogs, we support, send messages of love, hope, good wishes and more. And then we share in happiness, joy, celebrations, anniversaries, and daily events, some which may seem very ordinary, but to each of us are so  special.

This is called, ‘ REFLECTIONS’ and is of the Otaki River iver.

We all reflect on our lives, past ,present, and future.

May all your thought today be happy ones .

Reflections

Quotation of the day,  from Thomas  Paine

“ The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress,

and grows brave by reflection”

Greetings from Jean

Lorraine, I am so pleased (and thankful as always) to see your words, both words for me, and from you, as I feared for you during Sandy and when there was no post on your blog, wondered if you had power, water, falling trees or flooding.Greetings from Jean.Have you voted early???

What a beautiful river and such a beautiful place to sit and reflect. You and Hugh are still in my thoughts. Hope he doesn't run out of books he wants to read. Maybe he should take up knitting for awhile? :)

Little did I realize when beginning my blog, the friends that I would find and the inspiration, help, and solace I would gain. I think that is true for many.

Julie, your words are so true, Carrie, you are an inspiration with your mechanical skills, and Gayle, that is a great idea, Jim at Ocean Breezes knits beautiful cable jerseys, and more. Maybe time for me to suggest a new project. Greetings to all , Jean . thinking of you in USA with the voting, and those further north with sub-zero temps.

Great quote for today, here where many of us are praying & pacing & wishing results were already in.

Thank YOU for sharing your life and thoughts through your blog.

Thanks Brian, but looking at it again, it is not level!!but the rocks where I sat/perched,crouched down were too uneven to use the tripod. Cheers from Jean

I'm new to your world Jean and it's a pleasure to know you and Hugh(I have a cousin Hugh)....that was just an aside....yes the cyber world has made the physical world seem smaller. It has opened up the world to relationships that would never have happened....this is a good thing. Any time someone wants or needs some help...someone will be there....so thanks for your kind words. Sophie wants to make sure her licks and nuzzles are being felt so many kms/miles away.
Cheers Ron

Hi Jean. Yes I would agree that the blogging world has a lot of pluses. It certainly helped me get 'back on my feet' after a couple of health issues...not only from the support of followers but it challenged me to focus and get well again.
Meeting people like yourself and Hugh is a pleasure indeed. Who would have thought I would be conversing with someone in New Zealand? Not me!
