A few more from yesterday, out and about.
Photo courtesy of the internet, on the way to work near Dunedin,South Island.
This was taken in August 2010. the one below from almost the same spot, yesterday May 28th 2013.
Finally, a Bearded Iris from our garden, a few years ago. A reminder that after winter, these will flower in their beautiful colours again.
Quotation of the day, from Rudyard Kipling
“Flowers are not made by singing “ Oh , how beautiful ”
and sitting in the shade”

Do you get a lot of snow in Marton each winter?
just an amazing scene full of snow in may! and especially compared to august's view a few years ago.
I am looking forward to summer and you have winter ahead. Strange world :)
Oh that second photo is like a dream. If I went there I would never leave.
Carol, we had snow here in August 2011, before that was decades ago, I'll post a photo. The snow down south has melted, and severe frosts a little North of us. about -1 Celsius this morning here. The fire is going!!! Enjoy your spring days.Theresa, there are so many beautiful views there, and Michaele, ditto for me.Brit, our snow is nowhere as much as you have or for as long, but I still think it is like fairyland when it falls. Cheers from Jean.
