Like a Candle In The Wind

This morning's sky

The colours in the sky leave us as evening draws near, and late Wednesday afternoon,  our dearest friend Janet left us.

Bright, full of fun and laughter, such a wonderful friend, for 2 short years.

On  Tuesday we talked , smiled and laughed  at shared memories, I held your hand .

With your family holding you, Peace came.

Quotation of the day, from John Steinbeck

‘It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.”

Greetings from Jean

Hi Lindsjo, Linda, Barb, Susan, Carol and Jim, comforting words that mean so much, helping with our sadness. Scorching hot here today, 28.7C, 'bout 85F, so I'm inside for the rest of the day. Some words to compose for Janet's funeral on Monday , I need to keep them brief ( Those who know me well realise how hard this will be!!)Maybe a draft copy, then reduce it to 1/4 of the original and I should be OK. Greetings to you all, Jean.

Kathy, Nicky and SDP(SRQ), your words uplift me, and heal. we said farewell at Janet's funeral yesterday, and while I sat in the Chapel, I thought of you all who have comforted me at this time, everyone who has shared has helped so much, and I hope each of you truly understands my many grateful thanks for all. Greetings, Jean.
