Foxy’s Friends and a Blue Moon

Some of you have written wonderful words about Foxy. And other things too. Thank you so much.

He is from a pattern in a Homespun Magazine, and was  designed by Anthea Christian. This time  I printed the  pattern pieces out, and pasted them onto thin card, cut very exactly on the lines,  A  lot easier than a  pattern paper by itself. He has 3 friends in the wings, all in various stages of disarray!!! One is flying North very soon, another going south, and maybe one will keep Foxy #1 company. Friends of Foxy waiting in the wings!!!

The little purple torch at the back was the one I took outside early this morning,so I could see the dials if I wanted to change my camera settings. I did venture out at 2  a.m. !!! YES, the mad lady, but it was too cloudy for a good photo, but the crescent I saw was indeed red. Later, at about 6 a.m. fortified with a cup of coffee, and still  in jamas and sheepskin slippers, wandered over the lawn. propped the camera on our wood box, then went to the street. A truck , a car, and a van all drove past, I was hoping in the semi- dark they might not see me. I used a bean bag I had made a while ago, a neighbours wooden fence paling, and managed to get a sort of decent shot or two.

This was from our front doorway, shining through our firewood trees.

1st Feb Blue Moon 6 a.m.

Then I was out on the  edge of the street!!!

1st Feb Blue Moon #2

1st Feb Blue Moon #3

Nothing spectacular at all,but I can at least say I did see the “Moon Trifecta” this morning.

Blue Ted will be here when US arrives at the 1st February. Hurry up, your northerners!!! I long to have the whole collection done.

And in case you wondered, I am back to proper coffee!! Hooray for that, but the Myoscan will not be until mid-February when a specialist is available to be present. No doubt a big back-log too.In the meantime I am waiting, and had another short visit to hospital very early  Monday a.m. It is a trifle scary when angina pain lingers and does not subside with a sub-lingual spray repeated.  The blood tests are negative, this time I really think the Dr was hoping for a positive Troponin test, so I could be admitted and sent off for something to be done.I am so grateful for the wonderful ambulance men, or ladies,  one man ( single crew)  this time, the E.D.  staff,  and then….. there are the other patients who have been admitted for one night, one lady moaned and complained about everything.  I know she was ill, as we all are who are admitted to the “ Acute Assessment Unit” The other was a darling  wee thing, so apologetic when she needed staff to come.I am so positive neither will read this.

Guess in all  places we meet the grateful and the ungrateful. I hope I am one of the former.

Some places in New Zealand have had gale winds, huge rainfall, extreme damage to properties and buildings, we missed it all. After days of up to 33C, there will be a little sprinkle of snow in the far south.

Quotation of the day, author unknown

“ You do not miss the water till the well runs dry”

Greetings from Jean.

Hello, I am sorry you had to have another visit to the hospital. I am sure it is a scary feeling. I am thankful for the ambulance men, nurses and doctors. I pray they are able to take care of your illness. Foxy was cute, I think you should have one to keep for yourself. Love the beautiful moon captures, this last full Blue Moon was beautiful. Take care and I will keep you in my prayers for your complete recovery! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend!

Another good quote, food for thought. I would think you definitely are one of the grateful. :-) I love temps in the 30s! Snow, not so much. I, too, saw the Blue Moon, shining its ethereal light into my bedroom window when I went to bed last night, just beautiful, and then up early before sunrise this am, saw it setting, just wonderful. Wonderful to see your pics from the other half of our beautiful planet of the same moon. We share so very much as humans, would that all could GET that. :-) Hoping for a healthy heart, no pain, and yay for real coffee!

We didn't get to see the moon. It was snowing.
From my experience in hospitals, the staff appreciates if you are assertive without being aggressive. They are busy people so telling them what you need politely, and precisely, is the way to help them most.
Hope you get this sorted soon.

Sorry to hear you have had another trip to hospital but so pleased you have a date for your scan.

It was too cloudy here to see the moon so we didn't even try. Glad the seeds arrived and thank you in advance for the ones you mentioned. Take care.

Sorry to hear that you are still struggling with the heart issue, but it sounds like you are keeping your spirits up! Sometimes it is hard to be grateful when you aren't feeling well. Important to remember to try to though! Looks like you are going to have another few colourful foxes! Lovely! We missed the moon entirely here - it was too cloudy to see much of anything. Nice and bright last night though...

Dear Jean, I went back and read the precious posting so I could see the Fox!!! The Foxy Fox! So delightful. I wonder how long it takes to do all the piecing and sewing. And of course the choosing of materials that will make Fox even foxier.

Thank you for your photos of the moon. I'm such a dedicated sleeper that I didn't get out to look at it. So I depend on photographers like you to show me the wonder.

I hope your health improves and that the doctor discovers what is amiss.

Peace.

Hi Jean, anything to do with the heart is scary isn't it? It's good you are not taking any chances. Hopefully lots of answers will be found for you soon.
Meanwhile, we had cloud cover here so no moon photos. I
I wish I was like Dee there -a dedicated sleeper...my insomnia is really annoying and so tiring. But like you say we must stay grateful, right.

I am so sorry that you had another early AM ambulance trip. I wish that they'd just do that myoscan now. It must be aggravating for you but you seem to keep on doing what you love, not letting it get in the way of your gratitude for your life. You're a marvelous example. I'm glad that you got to see the Blue Moon! I didn't - those darn clouds. Ah well - the clouds themselves were pretty so I won't complain.

As the area I live is in a very bad drought that just continues, I definitely understand your closing quote. I hope you are able to remain well until the scan and that you are on the path to answers.

My dear friend, I hope you'll get things on an even keel soon!
The emergency peeps are amazing, aren't they? Good for you for lauding them.
JB has some clients who complain about everything. You're not one of those people.

I don't like to think about you rushing off to a hospital. I hope it won't be too much longer before you get everything straightened out. Your quote went well with my day as the water people are digging up the street and making adjustments. Several things in today's plan included washing and around noon, I was glad when I found the water running enough to heat up. I quickly went up to the second floor to fill my plan, turned on the water to get it to heat ... and while waiting went to the potty ... when suddenly, the water stopped. No water to flush the potty either. Back down to do other things....

It must be scary to have pain that won't let up. Thank goodness for ambulances and medics! Stay healthy!

Oh honey - my grandfather had terrible angina pain. Actually, he had more than 100 heart attacks in his last year of life. I spent plenty of hours ferrying him in a hurry to the ER. We didn't wait for ambulances...I was faster, lol. And yes, you are one of the grateful, one of the special ones who can see good in anything, and bless those around you.
Love your moon shots and your Foxy's!!!

I'm sorry that you were back in the hospital again, Jean! At least the blood tests were negative! I'm glad that you are able to have good coffee again. Going without real coffee would be hard for me! I'm also sorry that I'm so herky jerky in keeping up with your blog. If I could just stay on top of things! Big hugs to you. Loved your super moon photos!
