Saying Thank You never seems to be enough

Thank you all for the loving and caring comments.

Day 5, still not feeling any better, hoping each day  there will be some improvement.

However, on Monday 25th our Anzac Day, Hugh tested Positive. So he has to isolate for 7 days,

In New Zealand we have an online site, that you fill in with your own personal details, called " My Health Account"  .Then enter the test results, this gives those who collect all the data the numbers for Covid Positive people, and the area they live in. I can now understand how so many families struggled to do this, those not familiar with online or internet , those with families not living close by who could help.

To brighten this post, here is the deep yellow Day Lily, that seems to flower almost all year long. A friend who lived near us at Katikati said they were indestructible.  Kathy grew so many colours there, all in organised rows, so many to choose from,   and I remember watching Murray machete the roots to divide the plants after flowering was done. " Ming Porcelain" was my favourite, a delicate almost translucent pale apricot.I hope it continues to flower at our previous home.

Quotation of the day, author unknown

"Flowers are friends in the Garden of Life"

Greetings from Jean

So sorry to read that you both have had a positive test, what a bummer, sometimes you wonder how these things happen when you have been trying so hard to keep out of harm's way.
We have been away in the caravan for a week or two and Robin spent some time chatting away to our neighbour in camp, as he does. The next morning his wife knocked on our door to say her hubby was most unwell during the night, had just taken a rat test, and it was positive. Panic time! We picked up some tests, have taken two so far, and still negative. Fingers crossed, but it just goes to show there is plenty of Covid still around.
Take care, keep safe and warm, and hopefully next time you get to blogging ir will all be over.

Rest and take care! It seems everyone now days assumes people have smart phones. We discovered that this week when my husband signed up for Social Security. They assumed he had a phone to take his picture or one of those devices to scan his thumbprint. Had a devil of a time.

Hugs
Jane

So sorry to read that you both have Covid! Even tho I have had both shots and two boosters, I really believe I had non symptomatic Covid in January. All of a sudden I ended up with a metal taste in my mouth. Take it easy and get lots of sleep.

I do hope you both start to feel better soon; it is certainly not 'just a flu' as some naysayers still believe. We used to have a health app like that and an app that would give you an alert had you been near a positive case, but it's all gone now... along with masks... don't you know the pandemic is over... sigh. We still mask everywhere. We've had 3 shots and are due for boosters in another month, but our bottom line is we do not want to get sick and it's running rampant in Ontario.

We still have the phone alert app, that told Hugh on Sunday he was a Household Close Contact. Then on Monday to confirm he had Covid. He is starting to feel a bit better, sunshine is a great healer. Thank you all for caring.

It is distressing but you have good medical care and people who are praying for you! Take it easy and stay positive!
