Leaves are golden, yellow and brown, falling to the ground with each gust of wind. Soon branches will be bare. Bulbs are showing signs of green leaves, the Camellia, and the Rhododendron still have flowers blooming. The Horse Chestnut Tree, ornamental fruit only, is golden in the sunshine. Snow will fall in the far south tonight.

Sunlight on the grass under the trees,maybe a few years yet until they are cut down for firewood.
Camellia Flower, surviving in the wind and rain.
The Alstroemeria still flowers, the dark red one has finished for the season.
These bulbs are growing taller each day, maybe they are Freesias, waiting for a few months till the delicate, scented flowers will show.

Just going down through some blogs I missed. Seems they are not showing up my reader, which of course will soon be gone anyway. I really need to check out what else is out there. I can't believe it fall at your place yet spring here. I loved also all your brag photos. You do have something to brag about on the previous blogs. I can't wait till one day our horse chestnut will be so big. Right now I am just loving the bright green everything is. All the trees except a couple are finally all leafed out. The chestnut tree had some processing, not much, as I couldn't get the colour depth just right in the camera, Lorraine, the frames are in Picasa, all other photos as I took them, Theresa, the words for Gary, they seemed to be so right for him.I could feel his raw grief in the few words he posted. How interesting to see your seasonal pictures. Yes, we have fall colors here too but some of those flowers bloom here in late summer and camellia bloomes in late winter.
