Photos from my dear friend

Today my dear friend sent me an email with these stunningly beautiful photos. She knows my days are busy, and her care, love, and prayers are always close.

This week, we had a visit to our G.P. hired crutches from the pharmacy, upped the pain medication, struggled to cope, and yesterday called the ambulance.  Three lovely people arrived  very quickly, gave Hugh comforting words, before they left, had  arranged to meet another ambulance so he could have morphine,  reassured me,  then we spent   several hours in E. D.,  more tablets, and  sent home,  Hugh  still not able to walk without help, with an appt. made to see the orthopaedic specialist. It cannot come soon enough.

My friends have rallied, and I give thanks for meals on wheels 2 nights in a row, Dennis, you are a trooper,  one whopping meat rissole, more than ample for us both!!! scrummy…Judith, soup that was a delicious meal all by itself, Joyce, meeting me in E.D. and then  taking me to the pharmacy, as I didn’t know the way. Messages on the phone,  and more phone calls, ( you will all know who I am silently mentioning),  offers of any help I might need, we indeed  are  so  thankful  .

Quotation for today,  author unknown;

“ When the power of love overcomes

the love of power, the world will know peace”

Greetings from Jean

You are really having a rough time lately Jean, my thoughts are with you - you who are always first with help for others. Stay strong.

Oh dear - it sounds as though things are getting worse rather than better.

I hope it isn't too long a wait to see the orthopaedic specialist.

Love and hugs from the north.

Thanks so much June and Susan, from south and north and all in=between, tonight is slightly better than others, so hoping all new meds work miracles. And, all your words are so comforting. Greetings from Jean,

Dear, dear Jean ~ Somehow I've missed what is going on there and I pray that all will go well with Hugh and that you are filled and surrounded with God's love, peace and strength as you take care of things there for the two of you.

Thank you all, I too pray for some results this week that will find out what is really causing this pain, the Drs have one idea, but have only taken one X-Ray, and this is not the best diagnosis. Friends living close, further away, and very distant, as you all are, have helped so much with words and messages. Some of you will truly know this means so much. I'll do an update when we know anything more. Fond greetings, Jean

I'm behind on reading, Jean (baby sitting!), so I was surprised to hear that Hugh's pain got worse. Sure hope the orthopedist has some answers. Thank goodness for kind people, loving family, and helpful friends! Thinking of you in CO.

I'm so sorry that you and Hugh are having such a very tough time. I agree that the appt cannot come soon enough. Don't hurt yourself while trying to take on Hugh's usual workload. Take care.

P.S. those photos are beautiful.

Thank you all, from my heart. Hugh has had a better day, a visit to our local physio man, so gentle, and things are looking up well and truly. I'll do a proper update tomorrow, see how tonight goes, but he is a much happier chappie, and ME TOO !!, Fond greetings, Jean.

Greetings to all, Jean....p.s. referral to an orthopod has been classed as
" Routine" and Hugh has been sent back to his GP for any further treatment!!!

Oh dear... I wish I could add to your meals on wheels... though I'm not much of a cook. Aren't friends wonderful especially when we are in pain (heart and health).
