The chestnut tree shows Autumn in glorious colours, golden leaves still on the tree, fallen leaves crinkled and brown.
The Cherry tree leaves have deeper gold and red, and soon the branches will be bare.
Morning sky at our place, 3.3 Celsius this morning, and now much warmer.
the gentle breeze is not enough to move more leaves to the ground.
Time to put my mind to the FMQ May challenge, plant more bulbs, and
pick more feijoas, they have been so prolific this year, the freezer has been packed with cooked fruit for deserts later on.
Quotation of the day, from John Keats, “ To Autumn”
“ Seasons of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun. ”

I just love the photo of the colored leaves in the grass. So pretty.
Thanks Michaele, they are from the flowering Cherry Trees, and the others, Hugh raked them all up and is now mowing the lawn,if he leaves the leaves (pardon the pun) the grass gets soggy and goes yellow. Hope all is well with your weather. Cheers from Jean.
Glad you enjoyed your time in Rotorua .... I love autumn as well... lovely to be missed enjoy being home hugs Laurie
The very last leaves fell on the maple tree yesterday.
Lovely mulch for the compost to be gathered.

Hi Leanne and Laurie, , yes the compost mulch has increased, and yes, good to be missed as well, and yes, good to be home.In 3 weeks the autumn season showed itself so much, and the trees so different to when I went North.See you next time Laurie, curtain making, Cateye, and home baking took up most days.
